Under Coach Shawn Alderman, an 8x league coach of the year and 1x state coach of the year, the Tigard Tigers are always tough...  Last year, Tigard finished tied for 2nd in the very tough Three Rivers League and made the final site of the OSAA 6A state tournament...  This year's Tigers look to be very good again, led by some athletic and talented perimeter players in Drew Carter, Brett Moss, Steven Long and Max Lenzy, among others...  Tigard will use their length and athleticism to pressure defensively and push in transition whenever possible...  "I believe that Coaching is all about relationships - Coach to player and player to player," said Coach Alderman.  "We have a team full of great teammates and my job is to foster those relationships.  In terms of basketball itself, we will push tempo but not to just play fast.  We will try to get a great shot early and if not, run offense to get a better shot.  We are traditionally 99% man defensively but may play only 97% this year."  Don't be surprised if Tigard is playing meaningful games in both the CCC and in March...
