West Salem, Mater Dei (CA), Southridge & Wilsonville Advance to Capitol Auto Group Division Semi

SALEM, OR (December 21, 2016) - The 2nd Annual Capitol City Classic presented by Adidas Basketball tipped-off at Willamette University in Salem on Wednesday, December 21.

The West Salem Titans defeated Evergreen of Washington, 72-52. Junior wing Kyle Greeley led West with 23 points, while Jordan Lind chipped in 20.

Southridge benefited from five guys scoring in double figures and used a huge size advantage (three players 6'8 or taller) to power past the Olympians of Sprague, 79-57. The Skyhawks were led by sophomore Brock Henry (13 points), 6'8 Filip Fullerton (12), 6'5 Ryan Lambert (12), 6'8 Robert Hester (12) and wing Tyler Gatlin (12). Sprague was led by Teagan Quitoriano with 22 points.

Wilsonville, the Oregon defending 5A state champions, ran past Thurston, 74-58. The Wildcats were led by Oregon State signee Zach Reichle. Reichle, a 6'5 senior wing, scored 27 points. Fellow senior Harrison Steiger chipped in 18 points, junior Zac Rossetti 10 and sophomore guard Jack Roche contributed 8 points and 9 assists. Thurston's Cade Bates led the Colts with 13 points.

Mater Dei (CA) won the night-cap game over McNary by a score of 64-60. Trey Anderson led the victors with 19 points, while freshman backcourt mate Beon Riley scored 13. The Celtics were led by Cade Goff (14) and Matthew Ismay (13).
